Cyberboros

The idea of the work refers to the ancient symbolic creature Uroboros - a serpent eating its own tail. It symbolizes the unification of contraries and an eternal cyclic renewal. I translated the myth and have changed the creature into a digitally and algorithmically designed form - Cyberboros. It reflects coded cycles of the endless movement responsible for the creation of the life's illusion. The object combines two seemingly different worlds: a physical world based on a real, manually modified material, and a digital world, in which a symbol of the serpent is embedded in mathematical patterns and is based on digitally coded loops. The applied pattern, due to its geometric origin, evokes the impression of corporeal tissue that imperceptibly blurs the lines between these two - tangible and digital worlds.
