The Feast is a single-channel video work created in the area of Labb Insulators Factory, which specializes in railway porcelain insulators. In my perception, the factory, with its invariable cycle of production and a huge amount of impeccable porcelain insulators, had created new meanings and esthetic configurations, going beyond the original function of the objects. During the three weeks of my residency there, I was observing the cyclic excretion of hundreds of pieces of porcelain waste. Every morning I heard the sounds of ceramic objects smashing – a sign of the production process' gluttony of the previous day being put to an end. Forms – swept away from the production hall together with their meanings - like dishes swept from the wedding table with their content - eventually landed on a pile of waste. It was there, that I decided to assign new roles to porcelain objects, the shape of which, sacred by function, changed its signification. The technological feast becomes the biblical Balthasar's Feast which portended his end.
